Ryley Walker joins Chicago punk band Running for a Dull Tools release that might be a surprise to those familiar with the singer-songwriter's recent work. But dig back just a little deeper into Walker's history, and you'll find his roots in an experimental music scene based around a hallowed windy city DIY venue called The Mopery. Out of this scene, Walker would meet future bandmates and the community that first nurtured his creative output. It was during this time that Walker met the members of Running and established the bond that is articulated on this tape. This partnership captures the aggressive psychedelia that Running have honed in on over their lifespan, with the soulful guitar expression that we've come to associated with Ryley Walker.
